2022 Athletes for Change Course

Athletes will learn to speak about Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, to facilitate groups through DEI curriculum, and to use one’s self to influence change. Course topics include learning zones, marginalization, implicit biases, microaggressions, and more. Watch this video to hear from athletes who attended last year.

Athletes from all aquatic sports are encouraged to apply. We are seeking a diverse group of high school-aged athletes of any identity(ies) and experiences. There is no cost to participate but attendance at all zoom sessions, completion of homework, and a final project are required. Course sessions will occur virtually from 4:00-7:00 pm EST on June 26, July 3, July 10, July 17. Please see the application here.
