FREE SWIM coming to BIFF!

by Jayson on November 18, 2009

The award winning documentary film FREE SWIM (www.FreeSwimMovie.com) is finally coming home to the Bahamas with the Bahamas International Film Festival (BIFF).

The film will screen twice:

Saturday, December 12: Galleria JFK Cinema Theatre 3 / 11:30am
(Followed by a Q&A panel discussion)

Monday, December 14: National Art Gallery of The Bahamas / 6:00pm
(Followed by a porch talk/panel about swimming in the Bahamas)

FREE SWIM uses learning to swim as a storytelling prism for social, economic, and environmental issues. The film sparks deep conversation about a range of topics (public health and the impacts of drowning, environmental health and conservation, ocean and human health, sustainable development, history of race and swimming – just to name a few). It has been encouraging to see this film engage audiences of all ages – and around the world – as an educational tool that informs and inspires.
